Courses serving as instructional or demonstration courses about the Moodle platform. Intended for staff.

  • Moodle 101 is a training course providing instruction for teachers on how to build a Moodle course from scratch using existing teaching resources.

By the end of the course, as well as understanding the basics of what Moodle is, you will be able to

    • create a new course, giving it a name and a short introductory description.
    • add Word documents (and other types of files) to your course page.
    • organise course materials into folders.
    • add links to useful websites.
    • name the topics in your course and display short summaries for each.
    • expand on topics by adding extra pages.

ICT Support can tell you what the enrolment key for this course is. It may also be available somewhere on sharepoint.

  • This training course introduces teachers to the Assignments module in Moodle.
An assignment is a set item of work for students (e.g. a piece of homework).

  • This course outlines Moodle's features by providing simple examples of activities and resources.
  • This is a demonstration (based around a GCSE Electronics course) of the Moodle platform.

  • This course serves as an example of The Open University's style for moodle courses. It is from their OpenLearn site.
Staff wishing to take a  look at it should contact Jamie Thompson (for an enrolment key).
